Who we are
Gold River Lodge is located on the wild and scenic mouth of the Klamath River. The lodge was custom built in the summer of 2007 by Jim Bansemer (retired owner of esteemed Sacramento based Bansemer Homes Inc.) and his family. Klamath stole Jim’s heart at a young age. After vacationing/fishing here throughout the year for three decades he finally moved to the area full time in 1998. We are a family run operation who truly care about each one of our guests.

Neil Fly fishing guide
Since childhood, Neil has pursued anadromous fish. Getting them on flies is his specialty. His mainly fishes Spey rods, with an emphasis on swinging flies but is no stranger to other methods. Depending on the situation, be it single handed rods, floating lines, (integrated) skagit lines, skandi lines, all things sink tips, shooting heads, dry flies, waking flies, wet flies, streamers, half-chicken intruders, nymph rigs (last resort), from the high lakes to the river all the way into the salt chuck you'll be in good hands.
